Tutor feedback

Bee's feedback

After completing my first shoot for the documentary (my test shoot), I showed Bee my footage to receive feedback and advice on what I should do next. She watched around four minutes of footage all together and gave me this advice:

  • Use a wider range of camera angles

  • Always bring a microphone and light depending on the weather

  • Use weather forecasts when you shoot

  • Keep tripod still when filming (don’t move camera too much as it looks messy)

  • Try and conduct as many solid interviews as possible

  • Look at ‘Bill Nichols – modes of documentary’ as part of my secondary research.

Jim's feedback
- The feedback I recieved was heavily influencial at the earlier stages of my project, as it gave me the support and direction that I required to make this documentary. It also helped me to plan ahead filming wise  and broaden my research.
